Brand Overview

We were excited to design and create a physical credit card for Mswipe—for both their merchants and consumers.

India, an economy that has been heavily dependent on cash, is shifting to online shopping and now relies on credit cards and UPI payment methods. The country recorded 52 million active credit card users in 2019. By 2025, this trend is expected to grow at a CAGR of over 25%.

Problem Statement

Creating a payment system that enables retailers to incentivize their consumers.

Mswipe, an independent mobile POS platform, wanted to execute their vision of creating an open-loop card system for the merchants and customers who use their platform. Specifically,

  • 01 Allow users to shop online and earn 1% cashback on every purchase.
  • 02 Allow merchants to introduce their custom offers in just a few clicks.

Approach Strategy

At the beginning of such projects, gathering information trumps execution.

As part of Requirement Analysis, Psych X86 conducted a series of conversations with Mswipe's project representatives. Information Gathering Techniques, such as surveys and interviews with senior executives, helped obtain key insights that proved useful during the subsequent phases of product development.
