Brand Overview

We were thrilled to design and create a physical credit card for Mswipe for both - their merchants as well as consumers.

India, a heavily cash-dependent economy, is transitioning into online shopping and is now reliant on credit cards and UPI modes of payment. The country recorded 52 million active credit card users in 2019. By 2025, this trend is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 25%.


Problem Statement

Creating a payment system that allowed merchants to incentivise their consumers.

Mswipe, an independent mobile POS platform, wanted to execute their vision of creating an open-loop card system for the merchants and customers using their platform. Specifically,

  • 01 Allow users to shop online and earn 1% cashback on every purchase.
  • 02 Enable merchants to introduce their custom offers in just a few clicks.

Approach Strategy

At the beginning of such projects, collecting information trumps execution.

Under Requirement Analysis, Psych X86 conducted a series of discussions with Mswipe's Project Representatives. Information Gathering Techniques, like surveys and interviews with senior executives, helped gain important insights that proved useful during the next stages of product development.


Everything Needs a Test

Consumers expect quality. Fulfil that through rigorous testing! After the development was through, the team headed towards testing the system's viability. Psych X86 deployed rigorous rounds of testing to verify the system's workability. Post-testing, Mswipe successfully launched its Moneyback Card (Mcard) in the market!

The purpose of working on Mswipe's Mcard was to make a system that could be scaled vertically and horizontally and ensuring a common design language is retained.
